Firmly established as the UKs most popular PRIDE Festival,Bol Brighton & Hove Pride attracts a diverse demographic audience from across the globe and is singularly the most popular visitor attraction in the City’s event calendar!

PRIDE is as famous, vibrant, popular and utterly unique as the city itself! Brighton & Hove Pride’s solo ethos it to promote tolerance, diversity, inclusion and education within our communities – and XPETS are proud to be going to Brighton to celebrate for this month’s adventure!

The first UK PRIDE RALLYA took part in London in 1st July 1972, with 700 activists parading through bewildered crowds and a heavy police presence. Participants staged an act of civil disobedience when they kissed each other, an act forbidden by law at the time between same sex. Today PRIDE LONDON continue to be an annual event with over 1m participants recorded in 2010. The day of this event is chosen to correspond to the Stonewall Riots in Greenwich Village, a spontaneous mass demonstration against the police raid on Stonewall Inn, a gay nightclub (an event celebrating 50 years this year, 1969)!

This month’s XPETS ADVENTURE takes us to Brighton where a dull, boring gray villain is lurking with an evil cunning plan to take away all the colour and glitter from all PRIDE celebrations and then the WORLD – his name is Barry Gray and we need to stop him!

So don your Lycra suit; put on your cape, drape those feathers we’re off to Brighton! SEE YOU ALL THERE ON SUNDAY!
