Calling all XPETS! Calling all XPETS! There is an Alien Bacon Thief around! I repeat an Alien Bacon Thief! This month XPETS we are going to “PA Bacon Fest”, Pennsylvania, USA; where an Alien has landed and plans to take all the Bacon to his planet – NOOOOOO! We can’t allow this! Come on XPETS we have to stop this thief!

So put on your Lycra and don your capes we’re off to Easton, Pennsylvania where PA Bacon Fest is located and has grown into one of the region’s most popular events (no guesses why!). With 159+ vendors, 20+ musical acts, and several stages this two-day event attracts more than 80,000 attendees – so we must keep our eyes peeled for this Alien as he’ll be sneaky hiding amongst the crowds! In 2014 PA Bacon Fest was named as one of the top 300 festivals in the world by FEST300.com and had locally been voted twice the Best Culinary Event in Lehigh Valley Style Magazine!

PA Bacon Fest has been around a long time and grew out of the Eaton Farmers Market, America’s oldest continuous open-air-market, and was established in 1752. This family friendly event has attracted pig loving attendees beyond the confines of the LeHigh Valley in Pennsylvania to New York and Philly and as far north as New England and as far South as Florida and as far West as Oregon. More than 159+ vendors from Philly Food Trucks and Farmers Market vendors to local restaurants will offer an incredible selection of Bacon and pork dishes – both savoury and sweet! And you can wash down your Bacon deliciousness with a craft beer, Bloody Mary or refreshing infused lemonade or sweet tea! Lots of activities are organised during the event including – “High in the Hog” (nothing is funnier than watching people ride a giant pig), “Piglets Stage”, “Mascot Dash”, “Piggy Moon Bounce”, “Swine Loop Bacon Eating Contest”, and “Fancy Dress Costume Contest”. And when the day turns into night They is when the music begins! Grab your dancing hooves and move to the sounds of the PA Bacon Fest Musicians!
