Each year in June the streets of Denpasar become the stage for Balinese arts through a whirlwind of music and dance performances. As one of the most major events in the Balinese calendar, the festival comprises exhibitions, shows, and parades in which performers dressed in vibrant hues of pinks, yellows and blues gracefully dance by to beating drums, flicking open their fans and peering out from under parasols, while others carry the elaborate flower-adorned floats.

The month-long festival will have you enjoying different performances all day long, with an array of exhibitions by different artists as well as classic dance performances and music.

The festival usually starts on the second Saturday of June and finishes in July. Bali is an island and province of Indonesia.

During this time, visitors to Bali can get an look at some of the best artwork at the Taman Werdhi Budaya Arts Centre in Denpasar.

Many towns will be decorated with traditional bamboo and coconut decorations to celebrate this festival and many outdoor stages and pavilions are erected so that the vast array of talent can be viewed all over Bali island. On these stages, you will be treated to dances, puppetry and musical performances.

The festival usually kicks off with a parade in Denpasar followed by traditional music, and then painting, sculpture, photography exhibitions open up to the public. There are also handicraft exhibitions and food stalls serving Balinese cuisine. The festival ends with a ceremony featuring a traditional ballet dance known as ‘sendratari’, which is typically held at the Ardha Candra stage.

XPets have entered as a team in the festival. Someone has stolen the statue of the Hindu God Ganesha from the temple and Xpets have to find it. The villain has hidden it somewhere but can XPets find it?

There will be a very short quiz at the end of the mission, and all the answers are within this article, so make sure you read it thoroughly so you can win the competition.

And as usual there’s our Caption Competition, which helps to pick a winner if there are more than one Super Heroe’s with the correct answers to the quiz.

At the end of the quiz you will have to tweet the pic number where the Elephant God is hidden, the answers to the 3 questions, and a funny caption for the photo.

Good luck Super Heroes!

See you there!
