St Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious celebration held on the 17th March the traditional death date of St Patrick (c AD 385-461) the foremost Saint of Ireland. St Patrick’s Day was made an official feast day in the early 17th century. Celebrations generally include public parades and festivals and the wearing of green and shamrocks, and historically the lent restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol were lifted for the day, which has encouraged and propagated the holiday’s tradition of alcohol consumption.

St Patrick’s Day is a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Canadian Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and the British Overseas Territory of Monserrat. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish around the world, especially in the UK, Canada, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand. St Patrick’s Day is celebrated in more countries than any other national festival.

Are you ready to help the celebrations go without a hitch and stop the naughty leprechaun from taking the pots of gold? Come on XPETS we can do this and get these celebrations off to a great start.

Good luck all XPETS!
